Born in 1976 in. 1976 in Konya, Republic of Turkey. Graduated from primary and secondary education in Konya.
In 1995, he started his education at Izmir Ege University, Faculty of Medicine.
In 2001, he graduated from Izmir Ege University Faculty of Medicine and
then started working at Dr.Yıldırım AKTUNA Medical Centre in Istanbul.
In 2003, he started his specialization in the 3rd Surgical Clinic at Social Security Institute Hospital in Tepecik / Izmir.
In 2008, he received Endoscopy-Colonoscopy training at Selçuk University, Faculty of Medicine.
In 2009, he participated in studies on Surgical Treatment of Obesity at Cleveland Clinic in the USA..
In 2010-2011, he completed his compulsory service in Erzincan State Hospital and performed Laparoscopic Slevee Gastrectomy surgery which was performed for the first time in Eastern Anatolia Region..
Since September 2011, he has been working at Lüleburgaz Private Derman Hospital.
Dr. Tepeli closely follows national and international congresses on the development of Bariatric and Reflux Surgery.
He is fluent in English and intermediate level in Russian. Dr. Mehmet Akgün Tepeli enjoys surfing, paragliding and scuba diving during the summer months and skiing during the winter months.
